Champakulam is an agricultural village lying in the kuttanad region of Alappuzha district. Alappuzha or Aleppy is known as “Venice of East” and kuttanadu is famous for its vast paddy fields, which is called as “Rice bowl of Kerala”.  The historical Moolam boat race is held yearly in this village.
